You'll need about 5 minutes to reach via delle volte on foot. The hotel was not far from the train station, you can walk 13 mins by foot. There was parking. Ferrara Old Town district is a good choice and absolutely worth visiting.

close to ferrara cathedral, 15 minutes' walk to ferrara train station. only 5 min walking from palazzo dei diamanti. taste the food in lemoko, you only need to walk 400 feet to reach it.
